Rod Davis

Head Coach, Club Secretary & Director
Women’s Artistic and Men’s Artistic Coach
GG Judge

Rod is a founding member of the club.  He predominantly coaches girls squad but oversees all boys and girls groups in the gym and mentors new coaches. When not under a mountain of paperwork, he can often be seen hovering under the bars.

Rod has recently retired from teaching in order to have more time to run the club, enabling us to move into our new purpose built facilities. He also enjoys tinkering on his computer, photography, and playing and watching sport.

As well as running the club, Rod likes to work with all the gymnasts and enjoys seeing them learn new skills.

Sam
Sam Yates

Sam has 3 children at the club and joined the coaching team after persuasion by Rod. Along with Rod, Sam coaches the squad and senior gymnasts.

Sam can usually be found in the gym on Tuesday and a Thursday evenings (and any other times she is not at work)!!!

Bethie joined the club in 2019 as one of our senior coaches. She has lots of experience both coaching and judging Women’s Artistic gymnastics.

Andrea has been supporting gymnasts for a number of years, and uses her experience and knowledge to great effect.  Her daughter is one of the club’s senior gymnasts.

Mark Robinson

Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coach (in progress)

Mark has recently joined our coaching team and is working towards his level 1 coaching qualification. He also spends a lot of time helping out with maintenance and improvements at the club. he has a daughter who attends Eagles.
Jamie
Jamie Mitchell

Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coach

Jamie has recently joined our team and is a WAG level 1 coach.  He has both a boy and a girl who attend the club.
When not supporting coaching, Jamie can often be found making repairs, plumbing or studying the long list of jobs Rod has found him!!!
Jamie was an integral part of the move to our new facilities coordinating the building works (and doing most of it himself).

Women’s Artistic and Pre-School Coach

Liz has recently joined our team and runs our pre-school sessions. She has 2 children in the girls squad and 2 more of pre-school age.

Ami Gregory

Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coach

Ami is one of the clubs most experienced gymnasts and is now taking on more coaching within the club. She works with our beginner groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In 2016, Ami was the first ever winner of the ‘Golden Eagle’ award for gymnast of the year.

Rachel Ash

Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coach

Rachel has 2 children who attend the club. She recently qualified as a women’s artistic coach and can be found coaching both beginners and advanced sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Sarah Ringwood

Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coach

Sarah has joined us recently and as a former gymnast brings added knowledge and experience to our team. She has a son and a daughter who attend the club. She has recently qualified as a level 1 women’s artistic coach and can be found coaching intermediate sessions.

Tieghan Bywater

Women’s Artistic Level 1 Coach

Tieghan has been a member of Eagles since 2011. She is an experienced gymnast and coaches the beginner and development groups while still training at a high level. A very popular gymnast, Tieghan was the first to receive the ‘Gymnast’s Gymnast’ award. Along with Lauren, she is one of the club’s main choreographers.

Lauren is still a training gymnast and is the 2017 winner of the ‘Chalk Bowl’ trophy for services to the club. She coaches our beginner groups and assists coaching the development groups. Along with Tieghan, she is one of the club’s key choreographers.

Beatrice is a leading gymnast at the club and is a Norfolk county squad member. She has won the Golden Eagle for gymnast of the year in 2018 and 2017. She supports coaching in our beginner sessions.

Having been a member of Eagles since our first session, Paula is the longest serving member of Eagles. She supports coaching on Saturday beginners sessions. In 2016, Paula was our first ever recipient of the ‘Chalk Bowl’.

Jody is a founding member of the club. Her daughter attended the club from its creation, however has had to give up gymnastics to pursue her highly successful career in roller hockey. Jody has many years of experience as a gymnastics welfare officer.

Ellie likes to journey all around the country with her Eagles gymnasts and coaches.  She can been seen at competitions, fooling around at gym camp and getting into all kinds of scrapes and predicaments.

All our welfare officers have attended the British Gymnastics’ Safeguarding and Time to Listen courses and as such have the relevant qualifications to fulful the rôle.
